Re: need feedback on new wiki organization by Timothy McPhillips, last updated: Sep 15, 2008 06:17 PM
Hmmm, there are lots of decisions to be made here.  No single good answer. Some of these pages could be migrated to the new site and stored as technical documentation under specific teams (e.g. the Kepler Object Manager design document could be hosted by the Framework team).  However, some other pages are out of date (e.g., the Kepler Startup Time document is out date because we've already decided to modularize the system much more than proposed here, and the page is really more of a SEEK meeting report than a Kepler page).  I think we should avoid moving stuff that is no longer useful and clearly mark what is still useful but out of date as such. Can we meet later this week to go over each of these pages? As for standardizing the design documents, I'm not sure how useful this will be at this point.  We are developing a richer set of documents for our various teams and different groups may have different needs.  Maybe we could look for opportunities for standardization after the teams have posted a large number of new documents? Thanks!

Kirsten, the new content in the user section looks awesome!  I especially like the page on Projects Using Kepler.  The introductory material is great, too.

Hi, I was wondering if there was a way to make events more noticeable on the website.  It is very useful to be able to create an event object for a meeting and be able to download it as iCal and vCal but I can't seem to find one list of all the events posted on the site.  In addition, a specific RSS feed of all events would be nice to have too. Thanks, Aaron
the problem we're solving with multiple class loaders by Timothy McPhillips, last updated: Sep 15, 2008 03:36 PM

Please make sure to put this documentation in the Build and Release Team folder.  Looking forward to seeing what David and Sean have been up to.  They seem to be quite far down the development path.   Thanks!   Previously Timothy McPhillips wrote: We'll start to put up documentation of all this on the Plone site today.  David is preparing an overview of how the class loader solution works in the context of the build system and a description of what would need to be done to use the approach in a deployed system.  For the build system we'll also be posting an updated description of how to create and develop extensions, including how to request that a particular module be loaded in its own class loader.  General instructions for using the new build system for development on the Kepler trunk will come later because it does not yet support all the capabilities of current system.

We'll start to put up documentation of all this on the Plone site today.
