Mission

The actor & workflow design interest group discusses the diversity of current approaches for designing actors and workflows, maintains descriptions of widely used approaches, highlights pros and cons of particular techniques, and charters new task groups for developing support for new approaches.

Scope of activity

  • Gather and post descriptions of current approaches for designing actors and workflows in Kepler.
  • Discuss the general pros and cons of the various approaches, highlighting situations in which particular approaches are most appropriate.
  • Point out where current techniques can be improved upon and brainstorm new approaches.
  • Charter task groups for enhancing current approaches or developing support for new techniques.
  • Define terminology required to facilitate communication within the group, with other Kepler developers, and with Kepler users.
